• After school tutoring is offered every Tuesday & Wednesday in the Media Center.

 

  • Any student-athlete wishing to play baseball in the Spring will need an updated physical and report to Jackson High Baseball Facility directly after school Today, February 16th for try-out.

 

  • Those who play a winter sport may try out once their season has ended. For those who tried out yesterday, there will be practice today.

 

  • Anyone interested in Track and Field there will be a meeting on Thursday, January 18th at 3:30 in the Commons Area.  Conditioning will begin January 22nd.   All athletes must have a physical on file and meet GHSA academic requirements.  There is a limited number of slots for both the girls and boys teams.  See Coach Henderson any morning before the 18th to sign up.

 

  • FCA, the Fellowship of Christians and Athletes will meet this Thursday before school.  Everyone is welcomed to join us for basketball, four square, ping pong, candy giveaways and a great guest speaker.  

 

  • Tryouts for boys Tennis  will be today from 4:00 to 5:30 at the Recreation Department.

 

  • Griffin Region College & Career Academy Open Houses for potential students and parents.
  • Tuesday, January 16th, 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm.

  • Wednesday, January 17th, 5 pm - 7 pm.

 

  • Both Open Houses will be held at the Griffin Region College & Career Academy, 221 Spalding Drive; students/parents can attend either one. You will get to tour the building and see the classrooms, labs, and student center.

 

  • Tuesday, January 30th, 6 pm. This Open House will be held at the Hoshizaki America Ltd. in- Griffin, 101 Green Valley Road and is specifically for the GA-CATT (German Apprenticeship) program. Students and parents will hear from Larry Alford with Ga Tech, hear from current GA-CATT participants including American Woodmark from Jackson, GA, and get information about the apprenticeship program.
