I'm a graduate of Jackson High School where I was a co-captain of the award winning Red Regiment drumline and a 2004 honor graduate. Since graduation I have obtained two degrees from Georgia Southern University (Go Eagles!).  I spent four years teaching science and AP US History at South Floyd High School in Hi Hat, Kentucky, as part of the Teach for America program. Most recently I taught APUSH at Eastside HS in Covington.  I'm proud to enter my seventh year of teaching here at home at Jackson High School.  Go Big Red! I'm married to Jennie Mae Smith, an 8th grade SS teacher at Henderson MS, and we have one child, Georgia Mae, born in November 2016.
