I graduated from Salem High School in Conyers. Then, I earned my B. A. in English at the University of West Georgia in 2000, my Masters of Education at Piedmont College in 2011, and my Educational Specialist Degree at Piedmont College in 2015.

This is my 19th year teaching, but it definitely doesn't seem like it's been that long! I taught for 12 years in Newton County, two years in Greensboro, NC, and one year in Thomasville, NC. Over the course of my career, I've taught 9th, 10th, and 12th grade English, as well as AP English Literature.

I am originally from Conyers, but I currently live in Covington. My husband teaches video broadcasting in Morgan County, and we have two children, who are 9 and 11. In my free time, I love to read, and my favorite book is Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen. I also watch way too much TV; my favorite show is The Big Bang Theory.
